Is there a premium paid by licensed buyers, for large and unique roots?

That has been on my mind for years. I've not seen it in my area (IN) but Billy Taylor is known for paying extra for good roots. On his website he actually has a contest. He is in Kentucky.

Higher quality roots will always bring higher prices from knowledgeable dealers.  However, those roots are generally part of a collection and only a small percentage.  If you sell the cream off the top, the rest of the lot is worth much, much less.
