current IN prices
« on: September 06, 2014, 10:58:52 PM »
$500 for dry and $135 for wet.  This is the best opening dry prices I've seen.  It usually opens at around $350/dry.  Hopefully it just keeps going up.

That's interesting.  What part of Indiana are you from Reeder49?  And, btw, welcome to the forum   :)

Thanks for the welcome.  I'm about an hour from Indy.  I sell to a couple of dealers but the one giving best prices is in Staunton, IN. Deaks Fur is the name of the place.  Real nice guy and pleasant to deal with.  There is a website.  It is on the net and he updates his prices every day.

Well, I was just checking out Deak's prices.  He hasn't updated since 09/04.  I guess my statement of him updating daily wasn't accurate. Don't you hate it when that happens.  That's like taking someone to a great fishing hole that you've bragged up and not catching anything.

Update.
My 2 buyers differ in price a little.
1) $550/dry $145/wet
2) $525/dry $150/wet

Also, one of them has stated that the Chinese market is slow and the won't be buying much this year. Do any of you know if this is accurate?

Well, if you listen to the diggers on the other forum they will be double last year.  However, having to make business decisions and trying to not lose money...I highly doubt it personally.  I hope the price does go up significantly.  I"d much rather pay more than anyone else and know that I'll get my money back with a reasonable profit on top.  This is the thing that some of the guys on the other forum don't understand.  I make more money when the prices are rising and I'm paying more!  They think I"m trying to scare people into selling low.  But that is just hogwash from speculators with no clue.
