Ginseng identification?

Not sure what I have found here, I looked at pics on the web here are pics of my plant. I damaged the root digging it out. Is this ginseng?

Well, first off, ginseng season doesn't start until September 1st in most states.  Those with an earlier date will soon be forced to adopt the Sept 1 opener.

Secondly, no, that isn't ginseng.  It is sasaprilla.  However, if you are keying on sasaprilla and looking closer, you are looking for the right things in the woods.  Sooner or later, it will be a ginseng plant.
