Wild Cherry bark

Another item in demand right now is wild cherry bark.  We are looking for the smooth bark from the smaller limbs on the trees.  This (clean and without any wood) is work up to $1/pound dry.  The slightly heavier bark from the larger limbs that are just starting to get a rough surface but are not quite smooth is also valuable, but at only 25 cents per dry pound.  The heavy bark from the trunks have no value.

I suggest sticking to the smooth bark from blowdowns and fence cleaning projects.
