how to protect the berries from predators
« on: July 06, 2015, 05:12:51 AM »
I am new to the forum. I saw a you tube video that showed someone putting a small cloth bag over there berries to protect the berries from animals. Would the bag be placed over the berries while the berries are green? remember, I am new and asking for information. After the green berries are formed, how long does it take for the berries to turn red? I would appreciate any information. Thank you. [NO advertising links please ~Brad]

You could do this, or you could protect the whole plant with some type of netting.  The small bags might help with small rodents, but they might not.  The netting won't help with rodents.

Yes, put the bags over them while green.

My berries are nearly fully formed and very green, and I don't expect to see them become fully red for another four to six weeks.
