Brad I appreciate your comments, so now I do have a question you mentioned that you planted seeds from plants that you harvested and since I am new to this site and Ginseng hunting.   My question is now that I have planted probably 100 or more seeds from plants that I dug so far this season, how long will it be until they come up will it be next year or will it be a while.  Also what is the average percenage of plants that will normally sprout and grow.  I know you have probably had this asked several times.  I have fallen in love with ginseng.  I am in my later 40s and overweight so this is proving to be great exercize for me, as you are probably aware there are very few places in WV that are not steep hills and deep hollows.  Last week I left the truck at 8am and got back to the truck at 4:30.  I get caught up in the chase and then all of God's beauty.  I appreciate your accepting me on your forum.  I hope to have a whole lot more to talk about in the next few weeks.

Hello guys new to this site and have enjoyed reading a lot of the posts, just wondering where you folks are from and how long you have been into ginseng hunting.

I am from central West Virginia, this is my first year and I absolutely love it, I love just being out in God's creation enjoying the beauty and the peacefulness.
