I am obviously new to this arena so thank you for that indepth answer appreciate it.   Where should someone new to all of this start their research?  I am definitely going to be looking over the boards, googling and doing my research before this upcoming season.

I am sure this is common knowledge in this community, but I can't seem to find any old post with a definitive answer other than "can be stored for a considerable amount of time" 

What does that mean?

week?
month?
3 months?
6months?
year?
5 years?
infinity?

How long can I store a dried root for and still be valuable to a buyer?  What would be the optimal storing conditions for long term storage?
