: Planting roots

Hello all,  just registered to this site.  Been at the whole ginseng obsession for about 20 years, (I think my lady is actually jealous of a plant  haha).  I have being planting wild sim beds for the last couple of years.  Thoughts about buying some rootlets are crossing my mind but I want to keep the wild simulated classification.  Will ginseng beds started from rootlets still have this classification?  Any thoughts?

Actually, I just touched on this topic the day before yesterday with Ron Ollis  (our Ohio Ginseng Coordinator).  My impression was that once you tilled beds to plant the roots, they would be considered cultivated in Ohio.  However, Ron suggests that if you do not do any other common agricultural practices, those roots will still be considered to be wild.

Therefore, to directly answer your question, no, it will not affect your wild simulated classification.

Thanks for the reply.  It has been something that's been in the back of my mind for awhile.
