: Looking for buyers in Catskill Mountain Area Of NY

Hi I'm new to this and I know the season doesn't start here till September 1 in NY  but I have found some ginseng and a lot of it has 5 prongs so just trying to get some ideas from anyone out there that might know where is a good place to sell it when it comes time?

Hi Upstate,

I can't speak to the New York buyers...but I know they are out there.  You might try contacting your agency (division of wildlife here) who is charged with enforcement of the ginseng laws as they will normally have a list of dealers available.  Often you can find the list online with a little ingenuety with your searching.

There is a man named Bruce Phetenplace (or some thing like that) I've seen his ads here for like 30 years. I'll see if I can find his number for you.
