Hey everyone. Bloodroot prices are up.
I can pay $12/pound for completely dry, completely clean (no mold or dirt) bloodroot. I might be able to do a little better if I buy it in combination with ginseng.

Personally, I just watch the patches in early June and pick the seed pods just as they are getting ready to pop open. I then plant them (more like scatter them and rake them in) in pots or flats burried up to the top and wait until next spring. After a couple years, they are big enough to transplant.
I don't raise enough to give you any real insight, but there are starting to be enough resources on the net and in writing (Dr.s Persons and Davis is one good example).
