Hey gang,
I"ve not been too anxious to buy green root this year. But, I intend to start buying in earnest come the 16th of September.
I look to open at $450-$480 per pound dry...green 1:4 depending on how dry it is.
The price might change between now and then, however.

I said yesterday I would update if my opening price increased...well it has.
Right now, it looks like I'll be opening at $500/pound for better than average quality collections of wild Ohio ginseng.
Be sure to look for the other medicinal plants while you are out there. The market for False Unicorn, Bloodroot and Goldenseal are currently up.

So far the Ohio market seems to be holding steady. I'll open this week at $500/lb dry. Quality always receives special attention over quentity. I'll buy fresh or dry at going competitive market prices. 419.651.8158
