Now is a good time in this part of the country to get out and check your beds. I often lay down a heavy spray of Kocide (metalic copper) to burn off any fungal disease organisms on the top of the beds which might infect seedlings or younger plants as they emerge. Also, be sure the leaves are not packed down too heavily -especially oak leaves- as they will keep the seedlings and younger plants from getting out of the ground.
